Definition
What is email marketing?
Email marketing is sending planned and automated emails to people who have agreed to receive them, in order to welcome, inform, convert and retain customers, measured by revenue, conversions and engagement per email.
Email is one of the few channels you own: no algorithm decides whether your subscribers see your message, and no platform charges you per click. Done well, it quietly produces a large share of repeat sales and enquiries. Done badly (irregular blasts, no segmentation, poor deliverability) it lands in spam and trains people to ignore you. We build the automated flows first, because they work every day without extra effort, then add campaigns on top. Every campaign is checked on common email clients and phone screens before it reaches your subscribers.
Who is it for?
Online stores
Abandoned cart, browse, post-purchase and win-back flows that drive repeat sales.
SaaS companies
Onboarding and activation emails that turn sign-ups into active users.
Service businesses
Nurture sequences that keep you front of mind until prospects are ready.
Creators and publishers
Newsletters that grow an audience you own.

Which automated emails should you set up first?
Flows run every day once built, so they usually come before regular campaigns.
| Flow | Triggered when | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome series | Someone subscribes | Introduce the brand and make a first offer or next step |
| Abandoned cart | A shopper leaves items in the cart | Remind and remove doubts |
| Browse abandonment | A known visitor views products without adding them | Bring them back to what they looked at |
| Post-purchase | An order is placed | Thank, inform, ask for a review, suggest what's next |
| Win-back | A customer hasn't bought for a while | Re-engage before they lapse |
| Onboarding | A user signs up to software | Help them reach the first moment of value |
Why deliverability comes first
An email that lands in spam earns nothing. Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo have required bulk senders to authenticate their domain, offer one-click unsubscribe and keep spam complaint rates low. Senders who miss these requirements see more mail filtered or rejected.
We set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domain, warm up new sending gradually, remove inactive and invalid addresses, and monitor spam complaints and bounces. Good deliverability isn't a one-off fix; it's kept up by sending relevant email to people who want it.
How we grow your list properly
Consent is the foundation: legally and for deliverability.
- Clear sign-up forms that say what people will receive
- Double opt-in where appropriate
- No purchased or scraped lists
- Easy unsubscribe in every email
- Consent records kept for compliance

Tools, and what shapes your quote
Pricing is based on your project and agreed in your quote. These are the things that move it.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Number of flows | More automated sequences mean more writing, design and set-up. |
| Campaign frequency | Weekly campaigns cost more to produce than monthly ones. |
| Template design | Custom-coded templates take longer than editor-built ones. |
| List size and health | Large or neglected lists need more clean-up and warm-up. |
| Languages | Each language version of flows and campaigns adds work. |
| Area | Tools |
|---|---|
| Platforms | Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign |
| Deliverability | SPF / DKIM / DMARC, Google Postmaster Tools |
| Design | Figma, platform drag-and-drop editors, MJML for custom templates |
| Integrations | Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, CRMs |
Common mistakes to avoid
What we see go wrong most often, and how a good project avoids it.
Only sending campaigns
Automated flows often produce a large share of email revenue. Build them first.
Sending everything to everyone
Unsegmented blasts lower engagement and hurt deliverability.
Buying lists
Purchased lists break consent rules and wreck sender reputation.
Skipping authentication
Without SPF, DKIM and DMARC, major inbox providers may filter or reject your mail.
Judging on open rates
Privacy features inflate opens. Clicks, conversions and revenue are more reliable.
Frequently asked questions
Which email platform should we use?
Klaviyo is popular for e-commerce, Mailchimp and Brevo suit many small businesses, and HubSpot fits B2B teams already using its CRM. We recommend based on your shop or CRM, list size and budget.
Can you move us from one platform to another?
Yes. We migrate subscribers with their consent status, rebuild flows and templates, and authenticate the new sending set-up.
Do you write the emails?
Yes. We write subject lines and copy in your brand voice, design the emails and set them up.
How often should we send?
As often as you have something worth reading. Many stores send weekly; many service businesses monthly. Consistency and relevance matter more than volume.
Is email marketing GDPR-compliant?
It can be. We use clear consent at sign-up, honour unsubscribes immediately and keep consent records. Your privacy policy should describe the processing; we can flag what it needs to cover.
Why are our emails going to spam?
Common causes are missing authentication, sending to old or invalid addresses, low engagement and high complaint rates. We diagnose and fix these as part of deliverability set-up.
Can you send in several languages?
Yes. We segment subscribers by language and produce flows and campaigns in Albanian, English and German, among others.
What results do you report?
Revenue or conversions attributed to email, click rates, unsubscribe and complaint rates, list growth and the performance of each flow and campaign.
Can you connect email to our online store?
Yes. We connect Shopify, WooCommerce and other platforms so flows trigger on real behaviour like carts and orders.
Do you also do SMS?
Yes, see SMS marketing. SMS and email can share one platform and one consent-based list strategy.
Can you set it up and let our team run it?
Yes. We build the foundations and flows, then train your team and provide templates for campaigns.
What should our first email to new subscribers say?
Thank them, confirm what they'll receive and how often, and give one clear next step, a first-order offer, a popular product, a useful resource or a booking link. A short series of a few emails usually works better than one long one.
How do you design emails that work on phones?
Single-column layouts, large tap targets, readable font sizes and images that load quickly, tested across major email clients and dark mode before anything is sent.
Can you clean up an old list?
Yes. We remove invalid addresses and long-inactive subscribers, run a re-engagement campaign for the rest, and keep only people who still want to hear from you, which protects deliverability.
