3D animation that shows what photos can't
Gjethe creates 3D animation: product animations and exploded views, technical and mechanical visualisation, architectural and interior walkthroughs, 3D motion graphics and logo animations, and real-time 3D for websites. We model from CAD files, drawings or reference photos, then light, texture, animate and render in Blender or Cinema 4D.

Definition
What is 3d animation?
3D animation is the creation of moving images from three-dimensional digital models, which are textured, lit, animated and rendered to produce realistic or stylised video and interactive content.
3D lets you show things that are hard or impossible to film: a product before it's manufactured, the inside of a machine, a building that doesn't exist yet, or a product in a perfect setting without a studio shoot. It also gives complete control: every angle, material and light can be adjusted, and the same model can produce stills, videos and interactive views.
Who is it for?
Product companies
Launch videos and ads before the product exists physically, or without a shoot.
Manufacturers and engineers
Explaining how machines and components work inside.
Real estate and architecture
Walkthroughs and flythroughs of unbuilt projects.
Tech and brands
Abstract 3D visuals and logo animations.

Starting from CAD files
If your product was engineered in CAD software, those files are the best starting point: they're accurate and detailed. CAD models are built for manufacturing, though, not rendering, so we convert and optimise them, fix surfaces and add realistic materials.
Without CAD, we can model from technical drawings, measurements and reference photos. Accuracy depends on the reference available, so we confirm key dimensions and details with you before rendering.
Rendering realism
Realism comes from light and materials more than from geometry. We use physically based materials that behave like real metal, plastic, glass and fabric, and lighting set up like a photography studio or real environment.
Rendering is computationally heavy, especially for long animations in 4K. We render previews at lower quality for your feedback and produce final renders once motion and camera work are approved.
What we need to start
- CAD files (STEP, IGES, OBJ, FBX) or drawings
- Reference photos of the real product
- Material and colour specifications
- Brand guidelines
- The features or message to highlight
- Where the animation will be used
One model, many uses
A 3D model is an asset you can keep using. The same model can produce a launch video, still images for your shop in every colour option, close-ups of details, social clips, an interactive viewer on your product page and even augmented reality previews.
Because of that, we build models carefully from the start: accurate proportions, clean geometry and well-organised materials, so they can be reused and updated when the product changes.
Technical animation for complex products
Engineers and sales teams often struggle to explain what makes a product better, because the advantage is hidden inside. Cutaways, transparent housings and animated flows can show how fluid moves through a valve, how a lock engages or how layers of a material work together.
We work with your engineers to keep technical animation accurate, and use labels and simple callouts so non-technical buyers can follow along too.
How 3d animation works, step by step
Every step has a clear output you can review. Timing is agreed in your quote.
- 1
Brief
Purpose, key features, references and output formats.
- 2
Model
Model built or converted from CAD, then checked for accuracy.
- 3
Look development
Materials, lighting and environment approved as still renders.
- 4
Animate
Camera and object animation previewed for timing.
- 5
Render
Final frames rendered at full quality.
- 6
Finish
Compositing, colour, text, music and sound.
Tools, and what shapes your quote
Pricing is based on your project and agreed in your quote. These are the things that move it.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Model complexity | Detailed or many-part products take longer to model and texture. |
| Source files | Good CAD files save modelling time. |
| Animation length | Each second needs animation and rendering. |
| Realism level | Photorealistic rendering takes more time than stylised looks. |
| Environments | Detailed scenes and interiors add modelling work. |
| Area | Tools |
|---|---|
| 3D | Blender, Cinema 4D |
| Rendering | Cycles, Redshift, Octane |
| Compositing | After Effects, DaVinci Resolve Fusion |
| Web 3D | glTF, Three.js, model-viewer |
Common mistakes to avoid
What we see go wrong most often, and how a good project avoids it.
Inaccurate references
Wrong dimensions or colours mean expensive re-rendering. Verify specs early.
Approving motion after final renders
Approve previews first; final renders take the longest.
Too much camera movement
Constant motion makes products hard to see. Let shots breathe.
Unoptimised web 3D
Heavy models slow pages. Optimise for real-time use.
Frequently asked questions
Can you animate our product from CAD files?
Yes. We convert and optimise CAD files (STEP, IGES and others) for rendering and animation.
We don't have a 3D model, can you make one?
Yes, from drawings, measurements and reference photos. Accuracy depends on the references available.
Can we get still images too?
Yes. Once the model exists, still renders from any angle are efficient to produce. See 3D modelling and animation in design for still-focused work.
Can you make an interactive 3D viewer for our website?
Yes. We prepare optimised glTF models and can build viewers with model-viewer or Three.js.
How do revisions work in 3D?
Two rounds are included. Look and motion are approved in previews before final rendering, which keeps revisions efficient.
Can you do architectural visualisation?
Yes, exterior and interior stills and walkthroughs from architectural drawings or models.
Can you add 3D to live footage?
Yes. 3D objects can be tracked and composited into real camera footage.
Do I own the 3D model?
Yes. Models created for your project are yours, and source files are available on request.
Can you animate a 3D logo?
Yes. 3D logo animations work well for intros, events and social media.
Can 3D replace a product photo shoot?
Often, for clean studio and lifestyle images. It's especially useful for products in several colours or not yet manufactured.
Can you create augmented reality product previews?
We can prepare optimised USDZ and glTF models that work with AR viewers on iOS and Android, so customers can place products in their own space.
Can you show several colours or variants?
Yes. Once modelled, changing materials and colours is efficient, which makes 3D ideal for products with many variants.
Do you need confidential files?
Unreleased products are common in 3D work. We're happy to sign an NDA and handle CAD files securely.
Can you produce stills for our online shop?
Yes. Studio-style renders on white or lifestyle backgrounds, consistent across every product and colour.
Can 3D animation be used in ads?
Yes. Short product animations and 3D loops work well as social and display ads, with vertical and square versions.
Can you animate a product being assembled?
Yes. Assembly sequences are useful for instructions, sales and trade shows, and can be paired with step labels or voiceover.
