No-code apps built properly, with a way forward
Gjethe builds no-code and low-code applications with Bubble, Glide, FlutterFlow, Softr, Retool and similar platforms: MVPs, customer portals, internal tools and workflow apps. We design the data model carefully, set privacy rules, connect APIs and automations, and document the build. Because we also write custom code, we tell you honestly when no-code fits and plan for the day you might outgrow it.

Definition
What is no-code & low-code apps?
No-code and low-code development means building applications with visual platforms that provide ready-made components, databases and logic, with little or no traditional programming.
No-code platforms make it possible to launch a working product or internal tool far sooner and at lower cost than a custom build. They also make it easy to build something fragile: an unstructured database, missing privacy rules, logic scattered everywhere and no way to move on. The difference is the same discipline that good software needs, applied to a visual tool.
Who is it for?

A working product for real users before investing in custom development.
Operations teams
Internal tools that replace spreadsheets and email chains.
Service businesses
Client portals for documents, requests and status updates.
Teams with a messy no-code app
A clean-up of an app that grew without structure.

Choosing a platform
| Platform | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Bubble | Complex web apps and MVPs | Performance and pricing at scale |
| FlutterFlow | Mobile apps with exportable Flutter code | Custom logic still needs a developer |
| Glide | Simple apps on top of spreadsheets or tables | Limited design and logic |
| Softr | Portals and directories on Airtable or databases | Limited custom workflows |
| Retool | Internal tools on your existing databases | Built for internal users, not customers |
When no-code is the right choice
No-code works well when you need to learn quickly, when the logic is standard, when users are internal or limited in number, and when the budget is better spent on finding customers than on engineering. Many successful products started this way and moved to custom code once they knew what to build.
It is a weaker fit for products that need heavy custom logic, very high performance, strict data residency or offline capabilities. We'll tell you if your project falls into that category.
Privacy and security in no-code
The most common serious problem we see in no-code apps is data that any logged-in user can read, because privacy rules were never set. We define user roles and privacy rules at the database level from the start, test them with different accounts and document who can see what.
Planning the exit
If the product succeeds, you may need to move to custom code. A clean data model, documented logic and APIs at the edges make that migration far easier. Some platforms let you export code or use an external database such as Supabase or Xano, which keeps your data portable from day one.
Reviewing an existing app
Apps built quickly often become hard to change: duplicated workflows, unclear data, slow pages. We review the app, fix privacy rules first, then restructure the data and logic step by step without taking it offline.
What helps us start
- The main tasks users must complete
- Who the users are and how many
- Data you already have and where it lives
- Tools the app must connect to
- Any payment or subscription needs
- Your plans if the product succeeds
Internal tools that replace spreadsheets
Many teams run important processes on shared spreadsheets: orders, approvals, inventory, client onboarding. Spreadsheets break when several people edit at once, can't enforce rules and offer no history of who changed what. A small internal tool built on Retool, Softr or Glide adds forms, validation, permissions and an audit trail, often on top of the data you already have.
How no-code & low-code apps works, step by step
Every step has a clear output you can review. Timing is agreed in your quote.
- 1
Assess
Use case, users and whether no-code is the right fit.
- 2
Model
Data model, roles and privacy rules designed first.
- 3
Design
Screens and flows agreed before building.
- 4
Build
Workflows, integrations and automations.
- 5
Test
Testing with different roles and realistic data.
- 6
Launch and document
Go live, with documentation and an exit plan.
Tools, and what shapes your quote
Pricing is based on your project and agreed in your quote. These are the things that move it.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Number of screens and workflows | More features take more building and testing. |
| Platform | Some platforms are quicker for certain projects than others. |
| Integrations | Each external API or automation adds work. |
| User roles | Several roles with different permissions need careful rules. |
| Existing app | Cleaning up an existing build may come before new features. |
| Area | Tools |
|---|---|
| Builders | Bubble, FlutterFlow, Glide, Softr, Retool, WeWeb |
| Data | Airtable, Supabase, Xano, Google Sheets |
| Automation | Make, Zapier, n8n |
| Payments | Stripe |
Common mistakes to avoid
What we see go wrong most often, and how a good project avoids it.
No privacy rules
The most common serious no-code flaw. Set them from the start.
Unstructured data
A messy database makes every later change harder.
Picking a platform by popularity
Choose by what you're building and who will use it.
No exit plan
Know how you'd move to custom code before you need to.
Frequently asked questions
Is no-code good enough for a real product?
For many MVPs, portals and internal tools, yes. We'll tell you honestly if your project needs custom code instead.
Which platform do you recommend?
It depends on the app: Bubble for complex web apps, FlutterFlow for mobile, Glide or Softr for simpler apps, Retool for internal tools.
Can we move to custom code later?
Yes. We plan for it with a clean data model and documentation, and we also build the custom version when the time comes.
Can you fix our existing Bubble app?
Yes. We review it, fix privacy rules first and restructure data and workflows step by step.
Who owns the app?
You do. It is built in your platform account, and you hold the subscription.
Can no-code apps take payments?
Yes, usually through Stripe, including subscriptions.
How secure are no-code apps?
As secure as their privacy rules and configuration. We set and test them carefully.
How is no-code development priced?
It is quoted on the number of screens, workflows, integrations and user roles.
Can you connect a no-code app to our existing database?
Yes. Tools like Retool, WeWeb and Softr can work on top of existing databases and APIs, which keeps your data where it is.
Will a no-code app handle many users?
It depends on the platform and how the app is built. We design for your expected usage and flag platform limits early.
Do you train our team to make changes?
Yes. We document the build and train the people who will maintain it.
Can you add AI features to a no-code app?
Yes, by connecting to AI APIs through the platform's API tools or an automation platform, with careful handling of data sent to the model.
Can the app work on phones?
Yes. We design responsive layouts, and FlutterFlow or Glide can produce mobile apps.
What happens if the platform raises its prices?
It's a real risk with any platform. A portable data model and documented logic make it easier to move if you need to.
