QA and software testing: find the bugs before your users do
Gjethe tests web and mobile software manually and with automated suites: functional and regression testing, cross-browser and device testing, accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, API tests, performance and load tests, and basic security checks. You get clear bug reports with steps to reproduce, and automated tests that keep catching regressions after we're done.

Definition
What is QA & software testing?
Quality assurance (QA) and software testing is the systematic checking of software against its requirements and real-world use (on different browsers, devices and conditions) to find defects before users do and to prevent them returning.
Launching buggy software costs more than testing it: support tickets, lost sales, emergency fixes and damaged trust. Good testing combines two things. Automated tests run on every change and stop known problems from coming back. Manual, exploratory testing finds the issues nobody thought to write a test for. We balance both to your budget and release rhythm.
Who is it for?
Teams before a launch
A new product or major release needs a thorough check before real users arrive.
Development teams without QA
Developers test their own work and miss things; an independent tester sees the product fresh.
Products with recurring regressions
Fixing one bug keeps breaking another. Automated regression tests stop the cycle.
Companies buying software
You've commissioned software from another supplier and want an independent check before accepting it.

Which types of testing do we run?
| Type | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Functional | Does every feature work as specified? |
| Regression | Did new code break something that used to work? |
| Performance & load | Does it stay fast under real traffic? |
| Security | Is it protected against common attacks? |
| Cross-browser & device | Does it work in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on phones and desktops? |
| Accessibility | Can people using keyboards and screen readers use it? |
| API & integration | Do endpoints and connected systems return the right data? |
| User acceptance | Does it do what the business actually needs? |
What makes a good bug report?
A bug report should let a developer reproduce the problem on the first try. Ours include the exact steps, expected and actual results, the environment (browser, device, account) screenshots or a recording, and any console or network errors.
Each bug gets a severity based on its impact on users and the business, not on how annoying it is to find. That way your team fixes what matters first, and the final report gives a clear view of whether the release is ready.
What we automate first
Sign-up and login
If people can't get in, nothing else matters.
Checkout and payments
The flows that directly cost money when they break.
Core workflows
The main task your product exists for.
Critical APIs
Endpoints other systems depend on.
How much testing is enough?
Testing can never prove software is bug-free; it reduces risk to an acceptable level. The right amount depends on what's at stake. A marketing site needs solid cross-browser and form checks. A payment flow, a health record or a booking system needs much deeper coverage, because errors cost money or trust.
We size testing by risk: the features most used, most valuable and most likely to break get the most attention, and they're the first to be automated. Lower-risk areas get lighter manual checks. That way the testing budget goes where it prevents the most damage.
How QA & software testing works, step by step
Every step has a clear output you can review. Timing is agreed in your quote.
- 1
Understand the product
Requirements, user journeys and risk areas reviewed with your team.
- 2
Plan
Test plan covering scope, environments, devices and priorities.
- 3
Test
Manual and exploratory testing across browsers and devices.
- 4
Report
Bugs logged in your tracker with evidence and severity.
- 5
Automate
Automated tests written for critical flows and added to CI.
- 6
Retest and sign off
Fixes verified and a final quality report delivered.
Tools, and what shapes your quote
Pricing is based on your project and agreed in your quote. These are the things that move it.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size of the product | More features and user journeys mean more test cases. |
| Device and browser matrix | Each additional browser, OS version or device adds testing time. |
| Automation scope | Writing and maintaining automated tests is extra work that pays back over time. |
| Test data and environments | Realistic test data and stable environments sometimes need to be created first. |
| Release frequency | Frequent releases benefit more from automation than occasional ones. |
| Area | Tools |
|---|---|
| End-to-end | Playwright, Cypress, Maestro (mobile) |
| Unit & component | Vitest, Jest, Testing Library |
| Devices | BrowserStack, real iOS and Android devices |
| Performance | k6, Lighthouse |
| Accessibility & security | axe, screen readers, OWASP ZAP |
Common mistakes to avoid
What we see go wrong most often, and how a good project avoids it.
Testing only the happy path
Users mistype, go back, lose connection and double-click. Test what they really do.
Automating everything
Automate stable, critical flows; keep exploratory testing for new and changing features.
Testing at the very end
Bugs found late are expensive. Involve testing as features are built.
Ignoring accessibility
Accessibility problems exclude users and can create legal exposure in some markets.
Frequently asked questions
Manual or automated testing?
Both. Automated tests catch regressions on every release; manual exploratory testing finds the issues nobody thought to write a test for. We balance them to your budget and release frequency.
Can you test software another team built?
Yes. We test independently and deliver a prioritised bug report with steps to reproduce, screenshots and severity.
Do you test accessibility?
Yes. We combine automated checks with manual keyboard and screen-reader testing against WCAG 2.2 AA.
Do you test mobile apps on real devices?
Yes, a mix of real iPhones and Android phones and cloud device labs for wider coverage.
Can you load-test our application?
Yes. We simulate realistic traffic to find bottlenecks and report how the system behaves as load increases.
Is security testing included?
We run basic security checks against common vulnerabilities. Formal penetration tests should be done by specialist, accredited firms.
Which bug tracker do you use?
Yours (Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues or another tool) so bugs live where your developers work.
Will the automated tests run without you?
Yes. They run in your CI pipeline on every change, and we document how to update them.
Can testing be ongoing?
Yes. Many teams use us for regular regression rounds before each release.
Do you sign NDAs before testing unreleased products?
Yes, on request. The terms are agreed in writing before testing starts.
Can you write tests for our existing codebase?
Yes. We add tests around the most critical behaviour first, even in older code, so future changes are safer.
Do you test emails, PDFs and notifications too?
Yes. We check that emails, generated documents and push notifications are sent at the right time, contain the right data and display correctly in common email clients and devices.
Can you test with realistic data without using real customers' information?
Yes. We create anonymised or synthetic test data that behaves like real data without exposing personal information.
What do you need from us to start testing?
Access to a test environment, test accounts for each user role, any requirements or user stories, and a list of the flows that matter most to your business.
